Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
StudyAU (the “site”, studyau.au) takes visitor privacy seriously. This page explains, in plain language, what we do and don’t collect, what we do with it, and the rights you have.
One-line summary
StudyAU is a purely static website. We don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t collect your name, phone number, address, or any personally identifiable information.
1. What we do NOT do
- We do not require sign-up or login.
- We do not collect names, phone numbers, government IDs, or passport numbers.
- We do not place advertising trackers (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
2. What we MAY collect
2.1 Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. For security and performance monitoring, Cloudflare automatically records certain anonymous technical information:
- Request timestamp
- IP address (used for DDoS defence and aggregate country-level stats)
- Browser user-agent
- Requested URL
That data is held by Cloudflare, not by us, and is used to defend against abuse and produce aggregate analytics. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
2.2 Anonymous site analytics (if enabled in the future)
If we turn on Cloudflare Web Analytics, it is a cookie-free, PII-free analytics tool that records page views and referring country in aggregate — no third-party cookies, no individual tracking.
We do not use Google Analytics or any tool that sets persistent tracking cookies.
3. Cookies
We set no tracking cookies. The light/dark theme toggle and reading-progress indicator store their state in your browser’s localStorage — that data never leaves your device.
4. Third-party links
Guides on this site link out to Australian government pages (immi.homeaffairs.gov.au, Study Australia, TEQSA, ASQA) and university admissions pages. When you click through, you leave StudyAU. Those sites each have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for what they collect.
5. Minors
Content is aimed at prospective international students and their families. If you are under 18, we suggest you browse under the guidance of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information about minors.
6. Your rights
Because we don’t collect personal information, there is no account data to access, correct, or delete. If you have a question or concern about our privacy handling, email us at the address in the footer.
7. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our hosting or tooling; when we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes are flagged on the homepage for at least seven days.
8. Contact
For privacy questions, email hello@studyau.au.
